1. The World Bank assigns the countries of the planet to four income groups namely low, lower-middle, upper-middle, and high-income countries.
The classifications are updated on 1st July, Dominion Day(1st July) per annum and it’s calculated on GNI per capita. during this year’s classification, seven economies including Nepal and Indonesia are moving to a better category. 2. India’s flagship fitness awareness movement, Fit India is launching a replacement series of interactive sessions with ace sportspersons of the country.
This series of interactive sessions has been launched with an objective of inspiring young children of the country and to encourage them to actively participate in sports. Badminton star P V Sindhu and Indian eleven captain Sunil Chhetri will launch the inaugural session, within the presence of HRD Minister and Sports Minister. 

3. The United Nation’s trade and development body, UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) has recently released a report ‘COVID-19 and Tourism’.
As per the report, the world’s tourism sector could lose a minimum of USD 1.2 trillion or 1.5% of the worldwide gross domestic product (GDP). If the break in international tourism lasts for 8 months, the loss could rise to USD 2.2 trillion or 2.8% of the worldwide GDP.

4. The President of France Emmanuel Macron has named Jean Castex as the next French Prime Minister.
The previous Prime Minister Edouard Philippe had resigned earlier. The President has reshuffled the govt to restart the country’s economy. 5. A 23-year old player from Tamil Nadu , G. Akash has recently become the 66th Grandmaster of India.

6. The Chief Minister of Odisha has recently launched a monitoring system named ‘BLUIS’, and it’s become the primary state to use Space Technology & AI to safeguard Government Lands.
BLUIS stands for Bhubaneswar Land Use Intelligence System, which might monitor changes in government lands in Bhubaneswar by deploying high resolution satellite imagery. BLUIS may be a geo-tagged repository, which works both in web and mobile.

7. Australia has recently suspended its extradition treaty with Hong Kong and extended visas for Hong Kong residents.
This decision gains importance because it has been declared amidst the imposition of a troublesome national security law on Hong Kong by China. 8. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India has launched ‘Aatamanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer Mapping (ASEEM)’ portal.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI)- based portal will provide a digital platform to the employers to guage the supply of skilled workforce, in their hiring process. 9. A place called Swabhiman Anchal located in Malkangiri district of Odisha was seen in news recently, because the first bus company was inaugurated there, after independence.
The place also referred to as the cut-off area, was originally covered by water from three sides. The Gurupriya Bridge connects this remote region with the remainder of the State. Until this passenger bus company , motor launches and boats were the sole modes of communication.

10. Army personnel has been asked by Indian Army to delete applications from their smartphones including Facebook, TikTok, Tinder, PUBG, and Instagram and a total of 89 applications
This decision has been taken to curb leakage of data , as per the Indian Army sources. Several applications including Snapchat and UC Browser that are within the order, were also within the list of applications banned by the Indian Government earlier.
